Welcome to Natick Travel Basketball.

NTB’s philosophy is to provide Natick children the opportunity to participate in developmental basketball programs at a young age, and more competitive programs through the middle school years. We teach the skills and knowledge of the game to support each child’s development as a basketball player, and strive to help them develop a passion for the game. NTB emphasizes our core values of teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline and integrity to aid in the children’s development as people and potentially future high school student athletes.

Last up on our 8th grade farewell to NTB is Natick’s 8A!
They finished 1st in their division finishing the regular season 10-1! Tomorrow they play at 12:30 at mass premier!

Coach @sunnibev had this to say about the team:
“This is a special group of girls. They play tough and play so well together. Watching them come together as a team over the past few years has been incredibly rewarding. I am sad that my time as coach of these girls is coming to an end and an so proud of who they’ve become as players and as young women. Can’t wait to see what they do next!”

Good luck tomorrow!!!
*shoutout to @klb177710 for the help on the video!*

Next up on our dedication posts to 8th graders is 8B girls.
Coach Alex had this to say about the team:

“I didn’t get the opportunity to coach these girls until the 6th grade but from what I’ve seen, I know the following will have been true before meeting them. This young group of girls is amongst the most resilient group of kids I have ever met. Each year, they have continued to grow with each other, despite the annual changes, whether it be a new coach or new teammates. Each year, they gained a little more confidence, built a little more trust in themselves, and ultimately came together as a team focusing on a common goal; to play their hardest, no matter the circumstance. As a parent of a child who is in the program and also on the other 8th-grade team, it would be natural to step away from coaching the team and join your daughter, but there is something special about this group of girls that inspired me to continue coaching for them, hoping one day I could say that I was involved in the growth and evolution of these kids. They were beyond a joy to coach and getting to know them as individuals and teammates alike will be some of my most cherished memories. I can go on and on about these kids...but I won’t. Just know that this is a strong group of girls who don’t know how to give up and will give everything they’ve got!”

Good luck in the playoffs girls! Thanks Coach Alex!

It’s GAME Day! Good luck for 7B, 6C and 8A!!! ...

Boys 8th grade C team is next on our dedication posts to our 8th graders graduating from the program after the season….

Coach Jeff Aronis had this to say about the team:
“This season was a big turnaround for this group, which I have coached for the past 2 years. At the beginning of the year, I asked the team what they wanted out of their last season of Natick Travel Basketball. They all said they wanted to work to get better. And I think across the board they did. We had goals of being more competitive and focusing on team concepts during games, and I think our results reflect achieving these goals. In the 2022 turkey Shootout, we went 0-3. This year, we were 2-1 with wins over some higher ranked Metrowest teams. In the 2022 - 23 regular season, we finished in last place in our Metrowest division. This year, in the same division, we finished first. I will say this group goes to the beat of their own drum, but I think they have put together a season they should be proud of. I know I am.”

Good luck in the playoffs!

8B is next in our dedication posts!
Coach David Federici had this to say about the team:

“At the first practice of every season we stand together at center court to share what we want to accomplish individually and as a team - none of which include the number of wins, losses, or what the stat sheet says. We’ve always measured success based on how we come together as a team. These boys play with so much heart, and have all grown tremendously over the past 5-7 years in the NTB program, developing their skills, understanding, appreciation and respect for the game, but most importantly, they have each learned how to make those around them, better. We win together, we lose together, we learn together, we compete together. Together on 3!”

...

This week we are highlighting our 8th grade teams as they compete in one last playoffs before finishing Natick Travel Basketball.

We are starting with Boys 8A coached by Tony Proctor. The boys fought hard this season and ended up tied for second in their division. Here’s what Tony has to say about the team….

“Most of these boys have gone to battle with and for each other for many years now, while also gladly welcoming 2 new faces this year to the team. It’s been such a pleasure watching them grow, literally now that 3 of them are over 6 feet, and as people and basketball players. We’ve experienced the highs of winning the Metrowest season tournament and a Mohegan Sun Championship, while also learning from tournament defeats. As we enter once last challenge together, one thing I know is that you can never count these boys out. When they’re firing on all cylinders, they can beat anyone! Let’s GO!!”
